Aisling Bea

Aisling is an Irish-born comedian who has been around for some time. She was born in Kildare, Ireland on the 16th of March 1984. She appeared with Stephen Fry on QI. Aisling CliodhnadhSullivan (born on 16 March 1984) is also known as Aisling bea, is an Irish comedian, writer and actress. Bea started appearing as bit roles in Irish or British TV shows in 2009, made her debut by performing stand-up comedy in 2011. Bea began performing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms in 2012. After she received an award from the Edinburgh Comedy Awards (ECA) in 2012, she began appearing often in various panel programs. Between 2016 and 2017 she was a member of 8 Out of 10 Cats team in addition to being a performer in the 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown spinoff. She was the daughter of Brian and Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was the only woman to win the So You Think You Are Funny award. The surname of Bea is in honor of her late father. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan is a Kildare born woman. Her birth date was March 16th 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who took his own life when she was just three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she reached the age of thirteen. The stage name Bea is a tribute to her father. Bea published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey of suicide. Bea's mom Helen was also a trainer for jockeys as well as a former professional jockey, was the one responsible for raising her as well as Sinead. She and her family loved horses, races and racing. Bea was a child an instructor at the Irish National Stud. From an early age, Bea knew that she was not interested in racing as a career. Instead, she was drawn to the performance arts.
